NANVAENT Fund: Make A Donation

NANVAENT runs on computer hardware and likes its Net access. From time to time NANVAENT gets tired and wants to go into retirement, meaning we have to buy more modern equipment.

What's that rattling noise?

This is your opportunity to help with this by donating some money to the NANVAENT Fund. NANVAENTs first non-university hardware was a machine bought during the fundraiser in 1998. It continues to serve us well but is, frankly, old. The cobwebs are harder to remove and there's a rattling noise when you shake it. Sometimes the poor thing screams like a cat to get our attention. It's name is chuckie.nanvaent.org.

New gear

We replaced chuckie on March 20th, 2004 with leto.nanvaent.org. It's an Athlon XP 2800 based machine with lots of memory and pair of mirrored hard drives. The purchase cost of this hardware has been covered by the NANVAENT fund.

Running, running, running...

NANVAENT manages to keep its running costs low and doesn't really use much bandwidth either. The Flirble Organisation gives us room and board and some net access. They provide the domain name, IP addresses and even keep our servers going. They don't ask for anything in return, but we think it's nice to give a little just to say thank you.

Go on, you know you want to!

You can make a donation in a number of ways. You could send a cheque in British Pounds to the UK address below, a check in US Dollars to the US address below, or use PayPal with the "Make a Donation" button.

We suggest that donations in the UK be about £15 and donations in the US around $30. However, you can donate as much or as little as you are comfortable doing. If you're a Euros person, you're on your own, but €25 is about par.

Nanvaent Advertising Fund

This fund will be solely used to advertise Nanvaent using Google ads.

Small print

Much as we hate to, we have to have some small print. It was last modified on 24th March, 2005.

"Administrators of NANVAENT" refers to individuals who take responsibility for NANVAENT, its development and its maintenance and who within the NANVAENT Game are referred to as "gods" or as "high lords". "Custodians of NANVAENT" refers to individuals cited in the NANVAENT Copyright Notice, all of whom are also Administrators of NANVAENT. By making a donation you agree to be bound by the following conditions. All funds donated using the above mentioned methods shall be used toward the costs associated with operating the NANVAENT game, including purchasing of hardware and services. Any excess funds collected will be retrospectively applied to past costs carried by Administrators of NANVAENT. Acceptance of a donation does not infer or imply any transfer of ownership in any form whatsoever. The NANVAENT game, its source code, derivative works and publications shall at all times remain the sole property of the Custodians of NANVAENT unless otherwise so provided by other explicit agreements. The hardware NANVAENT is run on shall remain the property of The Flirble Organisation, a not-for-profit organisation with the sole purpose of hosting ventures such as NANVAENT. NANVAENT shall retain an exclusive right to any hardware purchased with funds from donations for NANVAENT and this right shall exist in perpetuity. As the recipient of donated funds, Mr. Chris Luke is acting only as a facilitator and is a Director of The Flirble Organisation Ltd, registered in the United Kingdom and is an Administrator of NANVAENT. Donations do not transfer a right to use NANVAENT or its services, or to use the services provided to NANVAENT. Donations do not attract any preferential treatment or favouritism. Donations do not guarantee that NANVAENT will continue to run for any amount of time and neither the Administrators or The Flirble Organisation or their representatives are obliged to make any such guarantees, except that where required by law reasonable endeavours shall be used to ensure that donated funds are used appropriately. Should NANVAENT fail to remain running for any significant amount of time reasonable efforts shall be used to refuse further donations and to return, net of any costs incurred in receiving them, any funds received after the determined time of failure. No warranty is provided that NANVAENT is fit for any particular purpose. Should any provision above be found invalid in a Court of Law then this agreement shall remain in effect with that provision excluded. The Administrators may modify these terms at any time without notice. In the event of any dispute, the laws of The United Kingdom shall prevail.
