concepts/punishment Nanvaent Player Help

There are several levels of punishment available to immortals,
depending on the gravity of the offence and the mood of the immortal.
     You have been warned...

TEMPORARY BAN (LOVINGLY REFERRED TO AS PQUIT)
You will be logged off, and you are unable to log on again for a time
period determined by the immortal that uses it. This is one of the
primary methods of punishment, and repeated pquits will get you a
character ban or a player ban.

CHANNEL BAN
You will be struck dumb, unable to communicate so that other players
do not have to hear your abuse.

ZAP
A (un)holy bolt of lightning strikes you down dead, leaving you in a
much less healthy state than you were before you started being
naughty. Repeated zapping can be painful...

CHARACTER BAN
A permanent version of a pquit. You will not be able to use this
     character again.

PLAYER BAN
All of your characters will be given the pquit treatment, and you will
be able to take an extended holiday away from the pressures of
     Nanvaent.

SITE NEWBIE BAN
Your site, which could include entire Universities or ISPs, will be
banned from creating new characters, though existing characters can
     continue to play.

SITE TOTAL BAN
Nobody from the site listed can log on.

If you have had one of the above applied to you, do not complain, or
ask for your character back. It is very rare for a mistake to be made
by an immortal, and you run the risk of suffering even greater
punishment than before. If you truly believe that you have been
wronged, mail a Lord. Be prepared to prove your claim, since you are
     guilty until proven innocent.

Do not think that we will hesitate to apply site bans if we deem it
necessary. Though this may also punish players who had nothing to do
with the offence, we would rather ensure that the general populace
isn't being harassed by one or two individuals.
